$10 Bucks!!

Katelin and Annie were thrilled to find “10 BUCKS” (as Katelin called it!) in their Halloween cards from Grandma Nancy and Grandpa David.  Of course when we went to Target they had to find something to buy with that money that was burning a whole in their pocket.  Annie immediately found multiple things she wanted and kept changing her mind until she settled on a Dora Soccer Doll (or so I thought).  Katelin, on the other hand, had to walk through each “ection” as she calls it to make sure she was picking just the right thing.  Of course her tastes were usually running a good $20-$50 more than she could afford.  As luck would have it we found a Friendship Bracelet making kit for $9.99. Kate was thrilled as she has recently received two bracelets (one from a girl on the bus and another from a girl she met at Disney).  Somehow Kate managed to persuade Annie into buying the same kit for herself then too!

I was really amazed at how quickly both the girls caught on to making the bracelets, especially Annie since she is a lot younger than the recommended age. It is really fun to see them so excited about a new craft project and it brings back memories for me too.  The only thing left to do is to convince them that the purpose of a friendship bracelet is to make them for your friends as they both seem to think they need to make them all for themselves!
