A big day worth celebrating!

Today was an eventful (the good kind) day for us! It started with a trip to the dentist. The girls have been there 5 times already but the past three were less than exciting for Annie as she did nothing but cry (strangely, the first time she loved it!). So last night she was already in tears as she anticipated the morning's appointment. When we got to the dentist we had a few tears but she quickly turned her attitude around and jumped on the chair and became very brave! She was excited to learn she has 2o healthy teeth (and getting the new tooth brush, floss, and toy didn't hurt either)! Plus, she got her picture with the dentist and it will come to the house addressed to Annie! Kate also did fantastic and even went and got x-rays all by herself. She is though a pro at this by now since she has had successful previous trips (although the first one is when she cried!!). I also had to take James to the doc today as he has been having some digestive issues again. Unfortunately we didn't get too many answers. Good thing is it doesn't seem to be the flu but now we are not sure what to do. He is definitely my "mystery man"! He keeps me guessing all the time. Since he had to stay home with me today we enjoyed two walks. One in the Baby Bjorn and one in his stroller. He LOVES being outside!

We ended the day with a trip up to hill to visit our friends. It was the first trip of the season and the girls were ecstatic! The most exciting part is that Kate learned how to ride her bike without training wheels. Last night Brian took her outside and she mastered driving balancing in a straight line. Within 10 minutes tonight she was starting, stopping, and turning (and even going up and down hills)! Other than the accident when she ran into Annie and they both toppled to the ground, you wouldn't know she just learned tonight! Most impressive is that even though she got some bumps and bruises, she got right back up (with some tears of course though). We are very proud of her and I am fairly certain she doesn't get these skills from her mom :) Brian and I enjoyed our trip up the hill too as it allowed us some adult socializing as well!

Oh, well the actual night ended with a trip to DQ to celebrate. I am really wishing I was not still restricted to a dairy free diet :(
