Cool Kids
The Clemens' kids have style and know how to show it :) Kate and Annie took advantage of the warm(er) weather today and decided to take a spin on their bikes after school. I thought it pretty cute that they decided sunglasses were a necessity for their ride. James was also a stylin' dude today in his tie shirt and worn jeans. All the ladies were digging him :)

Bring on the Food
This past weekend marked a milestone for James...his first experience with cereal! On Friday night we tried rice cereal for the first time. The first 10 bites he was loving it and then suddenly decided he'd had enough. Each day since he has started to like it more and more and last night and tonight he was even opening his mouth wide and whining for more when I wasn't getting it in fast enough! Tonight we decided to add a little something special and mashed up some real banana for him. The first few bites he seemed to enjoy and then he got his "what the hell is this" face going! It seems like he has mastered his timing too. He sleeps in the car seat on the way home from daycare and it never fails that right as we sit down to eat dinner, James decided to wake up crying and hungry! While it adds another meal I have to make (alright, not quite a meal!), we are excited to have him join us officially at the dinner table and look forward to watching him experience new foods. Here are a few pics of the first few bites.

The Baby Doctor
Well, if not for a weird glitch with our old camera, this movie would have already been released but sadly the footage all ended up on the cutting room floor. Fear not though! Thanks to the iPhone 4 and the iMovie app we revived our first movie tonight and in a matter of 30 minutes we shot all the footage, edited it, and exported "The Baby Doctors" all from the phone. Love it. So, for your enjoyment, we introduce the world to Katelin as "Mom" and Annie as "The Baby Doctor" with a guest appearance by Dad as "The Baby"! This was great fun all around and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Love the Weekends!
Once again we had a wonderful weekend! Friday night we pretty much just relaxed and didn't do too much. On Saturday, I got my hair chopped off! I was feeling frumpy and needed a change. It is now colored and short! :) Feels good. In the evening we had our friends, Dan, Anne and Libby over for playtime and dinner. The girls had a blast playing together (when Katelin wasn't putting them in timeout that is!) and the adults had nice conversation too! Always fun having friends over!

The today we woke up and decided to go to Famous Daves in Uptown for some live music and brunch. It was of course a nice treat. Even better was the almost three hour nap I took when we got home! Brian and James also snoozed and the girls played and played! The only downside of the weekend is that now Brian and I have to get on our computers and work rather than relax on the couch. And...one more weekend passes and I did not get my closet cleaned out. This is becoming a trend!
Kate and Annie with their homemade Fruit Loop necklaces!
Here's hoping for a good week too!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
What better day to get back into the groove of blogging than St. Patrick's Day! The kids all dressed in their St. Patrick's attire and looked so adorable so of course we had to get a photo opp!

Annie made a leprechan hat at school and didn't want to take it off all night!

In other big news, Annie is moving from the Sunshine class to the Moonbeam class! She is so excited but at the same time sad because she is going to miss her boyfriend! Annie has been talking a lot about Teagan aka "my Teagie" lately. Annie's teacher told me that the two of them really have a connection! My favorite is when Annie told me that she sits on Teagan's lap and he sits on her lap and they aren't too heavy! Too cute! Funny thing is Annie is quite a bit taller and much more "outgoing" than Teagan. Opposites attract!
We also took advantage of the beautiful weather today and went for the first walk of the spring! James walked in style in the baby bjorn and loved looking out at everything and the girls tried out their new scooters. We had a few spills and tears but mostly laughs! And of course this warmer weather made us all that much more ready for spring to actually arrive. Hurry up Mother Nature! :)

Time for a change!
Since we didn't have too much going on this weekend we decided it would be a good idea to get Kate's hair cut. I was thinking we would take a few inches off and really clean it up nicely. Kate, on the other hand, wanted to chop it all off! And yes, I mean all off! Brian was not keen on this idea at all because he loves long hair. I was skeptical as well. So at the salon I told the lady to take about 3 inches off and we would see what we thought. When she was combing it out I realized Kate looked a little like Cousin It which confirmed the need to give her a trim! :) Once the lady cut the 3 inches off Kate whispered to me "Shorter, it needs to be shorter!" So...I compromised and said she could go right below the shoulder. Kate was pretty excited about her new cut and I continue to find her sneaking peeks at herself in the mirror, posing and smiling. I sure hope her friends and teachers say something at school tomorrow because she insists that everyone is going to LOVE it! While I am missing the long locks when I look at pictures of it nicely curled and styled, I am very glad she is happy and it is always fun to have a new look. My turn next!!!
