The things kids do/say...
So if anyone has tips to get their kids to be nice to each other, I am all ears! I just keep hearing from my parents to wait until they are older...it will only get worse!

Beach Time Fun
Well, we decided we better take advantage of the summer heat before it is gone! We made our second trip to the beach today. Kate and Brian were all about building sand castles. It is so fun to see Kate's imagination at work. She got sticks and put seaweed on top to make trees and shells to make flags. Annie and I were content staying cool in the water! We all enjoyed the picnic lunch in the shade too!
The rest of the weekend was pretty busy as well. Kate, Annie and I did a lot of grocery shopping yesterday at Trader Joes, Costco and Target. Then we went to the MOA at night and did a little shopping and a few rides. Brian found time to do some much needed yard work as our back yard was beginning to look like a jungle. He also got the nursery painted today! Once it is complete I will be sure to post some pics! Hard to believe that within the next 8 weeks the little guy will be here! Hence, the need to get things done!!!!
Have a nice week everyone!

July Fun
Well, it’s August 1st so technically speaking not all of these pictures are from July…but who cares ??? :) This weekend we had a few outings now that the Red Bull Flugtag is done and no longer dominating the summer weekends! Yesterday was Logic’s summer picnic which was held at Parkers Lake in Plymouth – the girls had caricatures done (and loved watching the artist draw!), got a big bag of candy, played on the swings and slides, and then afterwards we headed over to the beach for our first beach outing of the summer. The girls loved splashing in the water, building little sand castles and searching for seashells in the water. No pics of any of it though…..until afterwards when we stopped in to pick of the ‘office’ camera from Logic and headed to dinner at Pizza Luce! We snapped some pics downtown and over by the Mississippi afterwards.
Today we headed down to the Wayzata Fire Department for their annual family picnic to hang out with Scott and Grandma Sharon. There were three jumpers, one was a water slide, and fire trucks everywhere! Great food, great weather, and all the kids (and moms) took a fun ride on top of Engine No.12 through the town. Anners was NOT liking the idea of the fire truck because she was afraid of the loud noises but in the end, Scott drove the truck and promised Annie he wouldn’t blow the horn so after a few tears she settled in on mom’s lap on top of No. 12. Once they were rolling Annie’s smile came out as did her beauty queen wave!! She LOVED the ride and so did Kate…..especially the ice cream after they got back! All in all it was a great weekend! Here are some pics from it.
